As part of Byte Night 2011, four Causeway employees spent their Friday night sleeping rough in Forbury Park, Reading. It was cold, it was wet and it was thoroughly uncomfortable – but it made a huge difference.
Through the incredible generosity of friends, family and fellow employees, Team Causeway managed to raise £3,235 to combat youth homelessness in the UK. The Causeway sleepers commented:
“It was a cold and slightly wet night, but one that taught us a very valuable lesson. Nobody should have to sleep on the streets – especially not children.
We would like to say an enormous thank you to everybody who contributed towards our fund-raising efforts and congratulations to everybody who won some of our one-off artwork!”
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the Causeway Foundation, which donated £500 to the cause.
